What is the Roblox Egg Hunt 2026?

Egg Hunt 2026: The Grand Eggspress is a community-made revival of Roblox's classic Egg Hunt events — the official tradition that ran for over a decade before Roblox retired it after 2020. It is built by Studio Koi Koi and the Koiverse team, led by Quenty and including many former Fifteam members — the group behind the best-remembered entry of the original era, Egg Hunt 2018: The Great Yolktales.

The project was funded by the community through the biggest Roblox Kickstarter of all time, closing at $112,872 from 559 backers in January 2026. In the game, you ride the Grand Eggspress train across the Eggverse, platforming through story chapters and collecting eggs designed by roughly 100 UGC creators. Partly — and the free slice is substantial. The introduction (Comet Point) and Chapter 1 (Florentine Forest) are free for everyone at launch, and Chapter 2 (Songhua Station) goes free on August 5. The full six-chapter game costs $30 as a one-time purchase; there is no subscription.

If you're deciding whether to buy, start with the free chapters — they are full story chapters with their own egg sets, not a demo. Platform support and first steps: how to play Egg Hunt 2026.

Every world on the route

The Grand Eggspress stops at seven worlds, one per chapter, each with its own egg set to find:

Details on each stop: the full worlds list.

How many eggs are there?

Studio Koi Koi has said over 100 uniquely themed eggs are planned, each designed by a UGC creator. The game's public Roblox badge list already shows 115 egg badges registered before launch — including 17 in Florentine Forest, the free Chapter 1 world. Exact in-game counts will be verified once the game opens.

Our egg location database opens with the game: one page per egg with exact steps, difficulty, and world — updated daily as the community finds new eggs.

How this site works

This is an unofficial fan site. Every fact is checked against official sources — Studio Koi Koi's site and press releases, the Kickstarter campaign, and, after launch, in-game testing — and each guide carries a dated changelog. Anything we can't verify is labeled "not yet confirmed" rather than guessed. Pages update daily through the event's end on August 29. Spotted an error? Tell us and we'll fix it.
