World Florentine Forest (Chapter 1)
Difficulty medium
Found Jul 30, 2026

Steps

  1. Talk to the NPC at the bridge to start the gem-collecting quest.
  2. Head down into the gem mine and dwarf area below the bridge.
  3. Smash every breakable wall with the Pip Hammer as you search.
  4. Collect all 7 gems: Obsidian, Quartz, Amber, Ruby, Amethyst, Emerald, and Sapphire.
  5. Talk to every dwarf you meet in the area.
  6. Return to the quest NPC to hand in the gems and receive the Geode Egg.

Short answer: the Geode Egg is a seven-gem scavenger hunt. Start the quest with the NPC at the bridge, then work through the gem mine and dwarf area below it until you hold all seven gems — Obsidian, Quartz, Amber, Ruby, Amethyst, Emerald, and Sapphire. Two rules keep the run clean: smash every breakable wall you see, and talk to every dwarf you meet. And if the hand-in glitches on you, do not panic — rejoining the server is the documented fix.

Where is the Geode Egg in Florentine Forest?

If you are looking for the Geode Egg location, the hunt is anchored at the bridge: the quest-giving NPC stands there, and the search area is the gem mine and dwarf territory directly below it. Everything you need is in that pocket of the map — this is a contained scavenger hunt, not a map-wide one.

Bring the Pip Hammer. The mine hides gems behind breakable surfaces, and the standing advice from the structured community guides is blunt: if a wall looks like it can be smashed, smash it. Skipping walls is the easiest way to end the sweep at six gems and no idea where the seventh is.

The second rule is social: talk to every dwarf in the area as you go. The dwarves are woven into the quest, and a full conversation pass is part of a complete run — do not treat them as scenery.

The full gem checklist

Seven gems, and you need every one of them:

  1. Obsidian
  2. Quartz
  3. Amber
  4. Ruby
  5. Amethyst
  6. Emerald
  7. Sapphire

Use the list as a literal checklist while you sweep the mine. Between the breakable walls and the dwarf conversations, a methodical pass of the area below the bridge turns up all seven. When the set is complete, return to the quest NPC, hand the gems in, and the Geode Egg is yours.

The hand-in bug — and the fix

There is a known glitch in this quest, caught on camera during launch week: during the dwarf hand-in dialogue, hammer strikes can stop registering — your swings simply do not count while the conversation state is active. If your hand-in or your smashing suddenly stops responding, the documented fix is simple: leave and rejoin the server. Progress on the quest survives the rejoin in the footage we have reviewed, and the interaction works normally afterward.

It costs a minute and saves the run. Try the rejoin before assuming you have lost a gem or broken the quest.

What the Geode Egg looks like

The Geode Egg was designed by community creator @fizzysaur, and its official badge description is a full quatrain: “You’ve earned this egg so fair and square, / You’ve searched so far, from here to there. / Now crack it open, take a peek, / You’ll find the hidden gems you seek!” Like the other special eggs, it can be worn as a hat from the in-game menu after you find it in-game, or bought from the Roblox Marketplace.

As of August 2, 2026, 7,304 players hold the Geode Egg badge, with an official win rate around 6.5 percent — a middle-of-the-pack figure for Chapter 1, fitting for a quest that is more thorough than hard.

Common sticking points

  • Stuck at six gems. Almost always an unsmashed wall. Re-sweep the mine with the hammer and hit every breakable surface, then confirm you have spoken to every dwarf.
  • Hand-in not responding. That is the known bug — hammer hits do not register during the dwarf dialogue state. Rejoin the server and repeat the hand-in.
  • No quest active. The hunt starts at the bridge NPC, not in the mine. Gems without the quest context will not resolve into the egg.

Worth grabbing on the same trip

Collectors should queue up the Crystallized Mushroom Egg next — it is the chapter’s other gather-then-trade egg, paid for in crystal mushrooms at the shop. The Whimsical Fungus Egg sits on the same shop counter, so one shopping trip can close out both.

FAQ

How many gems do you need for the Geode Egg? Seven: Obsidian, Quartz, Amber, Ruby, Amethyst, Emerald, and Sapphire. All of them come from the gem mine and dwarf area below the bridge.

Why won’t the dwarf accept my gems? You have likely hit the known hand-in bug, where hammer strikes stop registering during dialogue. Leave and rejoin the server, then hand in again — that is the community-verified fix.

Where does the Geode Egg quest start? At the NPC on the bridge. Take the quest there first, then search the mine below it.

Updated August 2, 2026: gem list, dwarf requirement, and the rejoin fix verified against community walkthrough footage from July 30 through August 1, 2026, with designer credit and badge counts from the game’s public Roblox badge list. If an update patches the hand-in bug, this page will be corrected with a dated note here.
